When the day cycle begins, it takes approximately 30 minutes for the lamp to produce 100% light, simulating a natural sunrise. At the end of each day cycle, it takes approximately 30 minutes to simulate a sunset. This is less annoying for the animals and also stimulates the reproductive behavior of many reptile species. It gives the animals time to retire to their burrows. This unit for terrariums is a flexible solution; an electronic ballast, closed inside a plastic structure where there are two flexible tube holders. It can be mounted in any hidden spot near the terrarium and the sockets are easily mountable to the fluorescent tube.
