This bulb emits infrared heat waves making it a typical warming lamp. The lamp has a special built-in reflector to focus the heat in any direction. The red glass transmits infrared waves produced by a special filament in the bulb. The reddish light does not interfere with normal activity at night or day, making it an excellent source of heat.

It is totally MANDATORY that the sockets in which the heat bulbs are installed are ceramic, this material can withstand high temperatures. If the caps were made of plastic, they would melt without difficulty.

The light bulbs can be protected with protectors, they are like a mesh hood that surrounds the entire light bulb, in this way the animal cannot come into contact with the light bulb or cap.

The ideal would be to install a thermostat that controls the bulb, in this way we avoid temperatures higher than necessary and thus reducing the possibility of burns to the animal and overheating of the elements.
