The advantage of these lamps is that they are opaque and therefore do not emit light , thanks to this they can be used in terrariums where at night we need to have a heat source on, with them there will be no light that bothers us or the animal. Although they are more expensive than spot or infrared bulbs, they have a much longer lifespan.

Perfect for heating the terrarium without emitting extra light into the terrarium. The use of a temperature controller, thermostat, is recommended, in this way we completely forget about temperature control and avoid problems

It is totally MANDATORY that the sockets in which the heat bulbs are installed are ceramic, this material can withstand high temperatures. If the caps were made of plastic, they would melt without difficulty.

The light bulbs can be protected with protectors, they are like a mesh hood that surrounds the entire light bulb, in this way the animal cannot come into contact with the light bulb or cap.

The ideal would be to install a thermostat that controls the bulb, in this way we avoid temperatures higher than necessary and thus reducing the possibility of burns to the animal and overheating of the elements.
