This model allows it to work with 35w, 50w or 70w bulbs thanks to its power selector.

The HID (Metal Halide) lighting system offers a consistent light spectrum that closely approximates that of sunlight, contributing to overall animal well-being. The correct combination of UVB wavelength and heat enables the animal to produce its own vitamin D3 to achieve adequate calcium absorption and prevent metabolic diseases (eg metabolic bone diseases).

The high light output and the balance of UV rays stimulate the appetite, reproductive behavior and general health of reptiles. The faceted aluminum reflector produces an evenly distributed beam of light. Aluminum dissipates heat very effectively, giving it a longer life and more stable operation than glass reflectors.

This system can be used as the only light source.

The use of an electronic ballast is completely necessary for its operation, without it they do not work.

Specifications:

It is recommended to use an E27 ceramic socket since the bulb once lit reaches very high temperatures and if it is made of plastic it could melt it.

The useful life of the bulb can be more than a year, but it is advisable not to exceed 12-14 months depending on the use it has been given, radiation decreases with the use of the bulb. Once this time has passed, to replace it we will only have to change the bulb, since the ballast will last us a lifetime (as long as we have given it optimal care).

It is recommended that once turned on it does not turn off before 2-3 hours.

Turning the bulb on and off very frequently ages it quickly, a normal use of 8-12 hours a day without interruption is not considered high frequency.

A bulb cannot be connected to a different wattage ballast.
